Trust and review
A listing is a marketplace standing signal, not a warranty.
LumenAPI reviews every API before it goes live, runs automated technical checks, and keeps a human in the loop for final approval. The review badge reflects reputation and operational standing, while liability for performance and legality remains with the supplier.
Hybrid review workflow
- 1. Supplier submits application, docs, base URL, cadence, and support contact.
- 2. Automated checks score documentation, auth posture, support channel, and operational completeness.
- 3. Human review validates live endpoint behavior and decides approve, reject, or hold.
- 4. Reputation is recomputed daily and can be held or downgraded after material incidents.
Automated checks
- OpenAPI and docs completeness
- Auth validity and HTTPS posture
- Uptime and latency baseline
- Sample response validation and schema stability
- Changelog presence, support contact, and declared update cadence
- Reputation weights
- Reliability 35%, data quality and freshness 35%, buyer trust signals 20%, supplier hygiene 10%.
- Public badge ladder
- Listed, Established, Trusted, Distinguished. The numeric score stays internal.
- Supplier economics
- Reputation affects only take rate, marketplace ranking, and payout reserve windows.
- Buyer protection
- Hard spend caps are required. Usage stops at the ceiling, with optional auto-reload below a buyer-set threshold.
Liability note
LumenAPI’s curation indicates that a listing has met marketplace review standards at a given point in time. It does not transfer responsibility for the supplier’s data rights, legal compliance, API availability, or factual accuracy. Those obligations remain with the supplier, and the platform may hold or delist suppliers after incidents or disputes.
